Our Methodology

Coming from strict Japanese business and Israeli naval disciplines we treat our cases with the same seriousness as a military operation and follow a set procedure: Research -> Strategy -> Execution.

Research

Intelligence is the first (and perhaps the most crucial) element is any successful operation. We want to be sure that we understand the market and correctly identify the opportunities ahead. We will work together with local analysts and conduct online, open-source, and in-person research and analysis to provide you with trustworthy and operable insights.

Strategy

Based on our insights we will suggest a customized roadmap to realize the opportunities we identified. It is important to note that our goal extends well beyond the first handshake and goes until the point of successful implementation. In this stage we will set timetables and define a budget for the execution stages.

Execution

Every case is unique, as so every roadmap is different. Yet from our experience some elements are often recurring across verticals and use-cases. In general, business development in Japan is considered slower than in other markets, and patients is requited. A typical road map may follow these steps:

  1. Introductory online meetings (online or in person based on circumstance)

  2. Recurring periodical meetings (bi-weekly or monthly)

  3. Proof of Concept (POC)

  4. Continued discussions about potential deal (usually face-to-face at this point)

  5. Deal signing (face-to-face meeting)

  6. Japanese team building (both in Japan, as well as Japan desk on client side)

  7. Marketing and sales

During the execution phases our team is your team. We will facilitate meetings and communication, aid with translation and cultural understanding, attend in-person meetings and facilitate travel, as well guide you through team building. Throughout the process we will share our insights, thought, and suggestions to allow you to see the widest and clearest picture possible.
